Description
The FP-31 is a highly sensitive portable gas detector specific for formaldehyde detection, using a photoelectric photometry method that utilizes colorimetric tables for detection. Once a tablet is placed into the instrument, a room air sample is pumped into the tablet. If formaldehyde is present, it will cause the tablet surface to darken or stain – the magnitude of the stain correlates with the level of formaldehyde in the air. Once read by an optical sensor, the instrument calculates the concentration and provides a direct readout on an easy to read LCD display.
